Observations on the country, weather, and the experiences encountered during these wanderings will be chronicled. Editorial comments on the state of our once great country and the currently pressing social and political issues that have a direct bearing on our liberty, quality of life, and character as a people will be offered with an editorial philosophy of "let the rough end drag."

I believe in the vision of the Founding Fathers and that the Constitution means what it says. Individual liberty is the standard by which I measure all things political and social. Equal men are not free and free men are not equal. I love my country, especially the great open spaces of the inter-mountain American West where courtesy, space and self-reliance shape the character. I am suspect of all authority and despise the government of this once great country. I cannot abide PC and the word I hate most in the English language is "entitlement." I am a man comfortable in his own place in life and I have neither time nor tolerance for fools or Progressives.
